First time out on our new little kayaks today! Omg the river Trent was absolutely beautiful and so calm and quiet, we saw a kingfisher catching his lunch, and there were damselflies absolutely everywhere all rushing around us. Brilliant day, can't wait for the next paddle outing! pic.twitter.com/8US69ATt9t
I love the sidewards heart that damselfly bodies create when they are in this mating position--I like to think of it as romantic, two hearts joined as one. I spotted these Ebony Jewelwings last Sunday as I was exploring a small forest stream.
